How does it work?

When you decide to partner with TAZM Pictures for your project, I will create a special web site that only you and I can access. This site will contain a page with the agreed parameters of your project, incorporating your needs and my suggestions to get your message across in the most appropriate way. It will also contain a discussion page where we can discuss the project as it moves forward, eliminating the need to hunt through emails, and simplifying communication. Finally, it will include a page where you can upload the files you want to supply if you don’t want to send them through the mail, and when I have completed a draft of your project, this is where it will be uploaded for you to view, to ensure it meets with your expectations. If you’re not completely satisfied, you owe nothing!

Here’s what we do with the materials you provide:
  1. Discuss with you the general parameters of the product you want. This can include mood, message, purpose, length and format.
  2. Review your materials in detail and sketch out an outline that tells your “story” in the most compelling way possible. We review this proposal with you before proceeding to help stimulate mutual creativity and give you the opportunity to add additional elements or give feedback as needed.
  3. Scan and/or enhance your still photos and/or video to the highest quality and resolution possible.
  4. Upload your material to a nonlinear editing system. We accept a variety of formats.
  5. Perform color correction / enhancement, trim away unnecessary material.
  6. Add stylistic elements to make your video “pop” – such as snappy intros, transitions between scenes, picture-in-picture effects, or simulated movement for still photos.
  7. Carefully select one or more musical tracks to accompany your images and convey the right “mood.”
  8. At this point we will upload a draft product for your review, to make sure we are creating a product you will be truly happy with.
  9. Once we have a final draft, we export the finished product to your desired format. Generally this will include a DVD-playable format, a high-definition digital file suitable for further editing, and possibly “flash” or emailable formats that allow you to share the product.
  10. Finally, if you have asked for a DVD, we will produce this with attractive menus, labels and a cover, like you might find in your local video store.
