{"id":3259,"date":"2014-09-21T16:28:35","date_gmt":"2014-09-21T15:28:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tazmpictures.com\/site\/?p=3259"},"modified":"2014-09-20T17:09:07","modified_gmt":"2014-09-20T16:09:07","slug":"flower-collage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tazmpictures.com\/site\/?p=3259","title":{"rendered":"Flower Collage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s a fun photo project&#8230;and an idea I stole from my wife (I explained to her that I was improving on her idea &#8211; it didn&#8217;t go over well). \u00a0Go find a green space and see how many flowers you can discover. \u00a0Or bugs. \u00a0Or whatever. \u00a0And then make a photo collage out of them.<\/p>\n<p>I went in our back yard here in Chennai, India &#8211; which is filled with both green things and bugs &#8211; and I didn&#8217;t realize how many different flowers there would be. \u00a0I was hoping for 16 if I really worked at it. \u00a0I ended up with 21, but then realized I would need 25 to make a perfect square. \u00a0So I went back out and actually found 5 more within about 10 minutes &#8211; often tiny overlooked ones. \u00a0Which was good, because one of the previous 21 had been a duplicate.<\/p>\n<p>I took all the pictures with a wide-open aperture, in RAW format. \u00a0f\/1.8 ended up making parts of the flowers blurry, so I switched it to f\/2.2, which was much better. \u00a0Then I did a bit of fixing and cropping in lightroom, and then dragged them all into photoshop. \u00a0I cropped each photo square, changed the canvas size to 10 by 10 inches, and then changed each image size to 2 inches square, and copied them in as individual layers. \u00a0You can also do it in photoshop, and save the whole thing as a jpeg.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/tazmpictures\/15111887848\" title=\"Flower Collage sunglow by Tom Brouns, on Flickr\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tazmpictures.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/flickr-migration\/15111887848_1fd0aed47b_z.jpg?resize=640%2C640&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" alt=\"Flower Collage sunglow\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And then, if you&#8217;re bored, you can play around with different effects for fun. My wife wasn&#8217;t too upset that I &#8220;stole&#8221; her idea.
