I was able to track down the location based on the unusual storefront belonging to the business pictured below, &#8220;Apartment Mart.&#8221; Yes, I was indeed heading in the right direction. <a title=\"Found Film:  Fortune Camera\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/tazmpictures\/19718433156\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tazmpictures.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/19718433156_334acc2a5b_z.jpg?resize=640%2C427&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Found Film:  Fortune Camera\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><\/a><script src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Sometimes the juxtaposition of photo and fortune can be funny, almost as if the photographer snapped the photo to match the fortune &#8211; but it&#8217;s completely random. \u00a0It took me awhile to figure out what was going on in these pictures, but eventually I managed to find a few clues using my good friends at Google.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Found Film:  Fortune Camera\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/tazmpictures\/19749283541\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tazmpictures.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/19749283541_fe0c5c1d8f_z.jpg?resize=640%2C427&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Found Film:  Fortune Camera\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><\/a><script src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>It seems that these come from a so-called &#8220;Fortune Camera&#8221; that was sold by Urban Outfitters as recently as 2011. For $12, you&#8217;d get a single-use camera with a 24-exposure roll of film inside.
